You’ll Need A Lot Of Space For Call Of Duty Modern Warfare On PC [Update]

In a new blog post, Activision has revealed the reason players will need such an ungodly amount of storage space. According to the publisher, 175GB is only the recommended initial storage space so that players will be able to download the game’s post-launch content.

Activision also stated that the initial download or install size for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare on PC will be smaller than 175GB at launch, though they neglected to mention an exact or approximate number.

We’re only two weeks away from the release of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare, and the PC specs have been leaked ahead of time. Players might be surprised to discover how much actual space they’ll need to install the game on their rigs, let alone start playing it.

According to leaked specs from (via Windows Central), Call Of Duty Modern Warfare will require a mindboggling 175GB on PC, which is absolutely insane. One wonders how big the game will be on consoles, though only truly massive open-world games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey have previously breached the 100GB threshold.
