Thanks to a recent modding discovery, players are able to change up a Borderlands 3 flaw: its story.
Sort of. See, Gearbox left their pre-rendered cutscenes in MP4 format, like the awkward Lilith cosplayer staring at you, either smiling or wincing in pain. This means that savvy modders can just replace it with whatever files you have on hand.
The results are the beginning of something magical.
just started playing borderlands 3 and it turns out all of the pre-rendered cutscenes and videos are all mp4s sitting in a folder and you can replace them with anything pic.twitter.com/IECY7nUq40

Right now, we have a shrimp rave and a Ricardo Milos meme changing up the game’s story. Granted, it’s a surface-level change, but it’s a start to spice up those replays when you’re farming or even starting a new character.
