New World of Warcraft Update Gets Foxy

With the Battle for Azeroth pretty much winding down, it’s time for everybody’s favourite pastime in MMORPGs: free post-expansion updates and DLC.

The next big free game update, Visions of N’zoth, is about the Horde and Alliance taking down an elder god. The update also introduces two new playable allied races: the fox-like Vulpera and the cybernetic Mechagnomes.

The Vulpera are the new Horde allied race while the Mechagnomes are for the Alliance. They were introduced in the Battle for Azeroth expansion, but this will be the first time they will be playable, assuming you complete their respective quest lines and reach exalted status with their factions.

Head to the 13-minute mark of this Visions of N’zoth video. There’s also talk about exploring the realms of N’zoth, exploring the newly-restored Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and N’zoth invasions of Uldum. But really, you’re here for the new races.

The updates will be available on the public test realm later today.
