The phone’s main hook lies in its rear quad camera setup. For their respective prices, these are the only phones boasting that many cameras. Of course, more cameras don’t necessarily mean better pictures. That’s definitely the case for the Realme 5 base models, judging by the short time I had to test their cameras at the launch event.

Speaking of prices, here they are:

Realme 5 3GB+64GB model – RM599
Realme 5 4GB+128GB model – RM799
Realme 5 Pro – RM1099

For those of you who are interested in getting the phones, do note that online official purchases will be exclusively done through Lazada. The Realme 5 will start selling on 17 October 2019 and the Realme 5 Pro starts selling on 10 October 2019. You can start pre-ordering the Realme 5 Pro now. Ordering the Realme 5 Pro on 10 October will also get you a free pair of Alan Walker’s Choice Realme Wireless Buds.

Realme Malaysia brand manager Tiffany Teh boasting the amount of Realme products sold worldwide so far.

We didn’t get a review unit so I can’t say much. demo models at the launch event, I can say that the Realme 5 Pro is a pretty decent device when considering its price. The Quad Camera takes some pretty good pictures and having a USB type-C port with fast charging is definitely cool for a mid-tier phone.
