Square Enix’s First Dev Division Is Working On A New IP

The house that publishes Final Fantasy and that one Avengers game is keeping busy with a new unannounced project.

The company’s First Development Division (via Games Talk) is working on a new intellectual property for high-definition consoles.  The job listing for this project is looking for people and is “aiming to realize a ‘next-generation action game experience’ that goes beyond the framework of existing action games, with an international team of creators from all over the world”.

This is a big deal because the division is known for developing and producing titles like the upcoming  FFVII Remake, Kingdom Hearts III, and the remastered Romancing SaGa titles. There’s no time frame on when they’ll announce it, but it’s definitely something a lot of RPG fans will watch out for.
