Anti-Nazi Vigilantes Assemble In Jordan Peele’s Hunters

Horror thriller and comedian Jordan Peele of Get Out and Us fame is dipping his toes into pseudo-superhero territory with the Amazon Prime Video exclusives series, Hunters. Said to be inspired by true events, Hunters is set in 1977 New York City, with legendary actor Al Pacino leading a band of vigilantes against the remnants of Nazis in hiding after World War 2.
If that doesn’t sound like a crazy-ass intriguing premise for a series, I seriously don’t know what is. This anti-Nazi Avengers team will comprise of not only Al Pacino as the leader, but also an ensemble of famous stars you probably haven’t seen for a while. This includes Josh Radnor of How I Met Your Mother‘s Ted fame and Logan Lerman, who is best known for the movie adaptations of the young adult Percy Jackson books.
Peele will act as the executive producer (with his company, Monkeypaw Productions), but newcomer David Weil will be the showrunner, along with Nikki Toscano, who was responsible for ABC’s Revenge and Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho prequel Bates’ Motel.
Hunters is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime Video sometime in 2020. In the meantime, check out the teaser trailer below, with Al Pacino delivering a badass monologue throughout its duration and a glimpse of the violent action we’ll be getting in the series.
