The Need for Speed series has been going through a bumpy ride in the last few years with games getting progressively worse each year. However, the tide has turned with Need for Speed Heat, a game that finally manages to capture the awesomeness of street racing which the series is known for.
#NFSHeat set a new record during the first week with more of you playing this game than any other NFS title this generation. Thanks to our community for bringing the Heat! pic.twitter.com/4BhGpdKsup

In a recent tweet from developer Ghost Games’ official Twitter account, it’s revealed that the player count in NFS Heat within the first week after release has surpassed all other NFS games that came out in this generation in the same respect.
For those of you haven’t been keeping up with the NFS games that’s been released in the past few years, here’s a list to help you out:
Aside from the three titles listed above, a mobile game titled Need for Speed: No Limits was also released in 2015 and it was developed by Firemonkeys Studios.
It isn’t hard to see why NFS Heat is becoming such a success. The game doesn’t try to do a lot of new things like its predecessors but instead focuses on the signature elements of the NFS series such as street racing, car customisation, and police chases. It’s also worth noting that the game has zero microtransactions, lootboxes, and pay-to-win mechanics.
If you’re a big fan of street racing games and this article has piqued your interest to try out NFS Heat, I’m pretty sure our review will help you make a better decision.
