[Report] Apex Legends Players May Be Getting A New SMG Soon
By Alleef AshaariVerified|November 19, 2019|0 Comment
It looks like Apex Legends players can look forward to a brand new SMG weapon soon, in addition to the three SMGs already available in the battle royale game, including the R-99, Alternator, and Prowler.
Prominent data miner @That1MiningGuy revealed the leak via his Twitter account, which suggests that Respawn Entertainment is currently testing kick patterns for a new SMG.
SMG wise we currently have (please correct me if I’m wrong) – the R99 and The Alternator only, right? Not sure if this is for the CAR or the VOLT (hoping VOLT personally, but know some of you love the CAR) but does look like some kick patterns for a new SMG are being tested. pic.twitter.com/q4hqEc9Ig2

For those unfamiliar, the CAR and Volt weapons he refers to in the tweet are both from Titanfall 2, a game that Respawn developed in the past. Apex Legends is said to be in the same shared universe, especially since we’ve seen several crossovers between both games in the past, such as the introduction of Titanfall 2‘s L-STAR assault rifle in Apex Legends Season 2.
In Titanfall 2, the CAR is a full-automatic SMG that boasts great accuracy, while the VOLT is an energy-based SMG that fires shots with blue lines that trace its path. The last weapon to be added in Apex Legends was the Charge Rifle, an anti-Titan weapon from Titanfall and Titanfall 2, at the beginning of Season 3.
It remains to be seen if the leaks will turn out to be true. Stay tuned on Kakuchopurei for more news and updates on Apex Legends.
