Somebody Almost Sold A Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Script On eBay

It’s really hard working with anything Star Wars-related, not just because you always act in front of a green screen but also because you have to make sure everyone doesn’t leak anything. Well, somebody on the set of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker almost leaked EVERYTHING.
.@starwars launched 42 years ago. And 24 days from now, the final chapter will be revealed in theaters! We are THRILLED to have director @jjabrams with us this morning — and he’s sharing an EXCLUSIVE clip from #TheRiseOfSkywalker! pic.twitter.com/gOfUTGWzpW

Appearing on Good Morning America yesterday, The Rise of Skywalker director J.J. Abrams revealed that one of the actors almost caused the entire script to be leaked to the public. He didn’t reveal who it was, though he wanted to, but told the funny story of how they got it back from the person who got their hands on the script.
“One of our actors, I won’t say which one – I want to, but I won’t – left it under their bed and it was by someone who was cleaning their place. It was given to someone else, who then went to sell it on eBay.”
– J.J. Abrams
The only reason why you and I aren’t reading the leaked script right now is because the crew was lucky enough to have someone at Disney spot the eBay ad for the script. Disney immediately stepped in to buy back their own script and thus the galaxy was saved from spoilers.
“Someone at the company said ‘There’s a script that looks like a legit script that’s for sale on eBay’ and so we got it back before it got sold.”
– J.J. Abrams
My only curiosity is that I want to know who was this actor that almost ruined the surprise contained in what is probably the most important movie of the year. I hope it wasn’t Daisy Ridley or John Boyega. Can’t have our heroes be this reckless!
