When it comes to the world of international esports, everyone knows about the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG). For the first time in the tournament’s history, the Asia Pacific (APAC) Final is taking place outside of China.

The WESG 2019-2020 Asia Pacific Final will be happening at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, Selangor, Malaysia starting from 3 January 2020 to 5 January 2020. 260 players from 61 teams from all over the world will be competing in Dota 2, CS:GO, StarCraft II, and eFootball PES 2020.
WESG is known for being the third party esports tournament with the biggest prize pools and the 2019-2020 APAC Final upholds that reputation with its US$300,000 prize pool.
Going even further, the WESG Grand Final has a prize pool of US$5.5 million. It will be held in Chongqing, China in March 2020. The winners of the APAC Final will get a chance to compete at the Grand Final.
Credit should be given to the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) for working together with Hong Kong’s Esports International Group (EIG) to bring the WESG APAC Final to Malaysia.
You can start buying tickets for the APAC Final starting from today on Ticket2U. For those of you who prefer to watch it in the comfort of your homes, the tournament will be broadcasted on eGG Network (Astro CH800) and live-streamed on Facebook and Twitch via the official WESG account.
