HBO Reveals Westworld Season 3 Release Date

Westworld Season 2 ended almost two years ago in June 2018, which means that the third season of the non-linear science fiction series is long overdue. Fortunately, you won’t have to wait long until it releases, as HBO has unveiled the premiere date for Westworld Season 3.

According to the official HBO Twitter account, Westworld Season 3 will premiere on 15 March 2020, alongside a teaser trailer that reveals certain ‘divergences’ in the timeline of the world in the setting of the series. It begins with the Hong Kong protests and the impeachment of the 45th President of the United States (which has yet to happen in real life).

This ‘divergence’ in the timeline ends with an unknown event on 27 February 2057. This will likely be the new ongoing mystery explored in Westworld Season 3, as the characters start venturing out of the theme park and into the world at large.

Westworld Season 3 will feature the return of cast like Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores, Jeffery Wright’s Bernard, and Tessa Thompson’s Hale, as well as newcomers like Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul and many more.

It’s a good time for HBO to release the new season of Westworld, especially with the recent end of high-profile series like Watchmen and His Dark Materials. In the meantime, check out the new release date trailer below.
