Ultraman & Japanese Spider-Man Writer Shozo Uehara Dies

Screenwriter Shozo Uehara has passed away on 2 January 2020 at the age of 82 due to liver cancer. He was best known for writing tokusatsu series like Ultraman and the iconic 1978 Japanese Spider-Man show.
Uehara was born in Okinawa in 1937. He joined Tsuburaya Productions in Tokyo, and later Toei Productions. His death was made public after his funeral (via Yahoo Japan). Uehara’s passing is a loss for tokusatsu fans and the industry as a whole.
