Super Nintendo World Universal Studios Japan Will Be A Life-Sized, Living Video Game
By Alleef Ashaari|January 14, 2020|0 Comment
The world’s first-ever Super Nintendo World is slated to open at Universal Studios Japan in summer 2020. In anticipation, Nintendo has released a new music video with an original song by world-class hitmaker Galantis and worldwide popular singer Charli XCX.
The music video doesn’t actually show us what the Super Nintendo World will look like, but the official website does mention a real-life Mario Kart experience, and that visitors will be able to somehow ride on Yoshi’s back, just like Baby Mario.
According to Bloomberg reporter Kurumi Mori (who attended the briefing event for Super Nintendo World), visitors will wear the Power Up Band to keep track of their progress in the theme park, which is described as a “Life-Sized, Living Video Game”.

There will also be a mobile app of sorts, featuring a game-style overhead map for finding attractions, with which visitors will be able to create a profile and unlock achievements. There will likely be prizes to win, like Mario or Nintendo merchandise. These could also be considered as a form of interactivity for visitors.
In the meantime, check out the Super Nintendo World music video below.
