Cyberpunk 2077 Is Delayed; Please Don’t Act Too Shocked

So who’s hyped about Cyberpunk 2077 coming out this April? Well, you’ll have to wait a little longer.

Unsurprising to most triple-A titles that seem to have a lot of hype attached to them, CD Projekt Red will be delaying its long-awaited sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 from April to 17th September. The company’s official statement according to studio co-founder Marcin Iwinski and head of studio Adam Badowski?

“We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done. Night City is massive -full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing, and polishing.

We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.”

I’m sure this has jack all to do with Final Fantasy VII Remake being delayed to April, but something tells me that helped them make this delay decision. In any case, more power to them Polishing the game to a higher standard than usual. It’s only 5 months more; there’s ample time to wait.
