Netflix’s Ghost In The Shell 3DCG Anime Unveils First Trailer
By Burhanudin Zamri|January 28, 2020|0 Comment
A few months ago, Netflix teased us with a brief look at the upcoming 3DCG anime Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. Of course, that wasn’t anywhere near enough for fans to understand what this new show is about. Thankfully, we have a new trailer to fix that.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIqzdn-Gjwk&w=560&h=315]The anime is a new installment to the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (SAC) series which has spawned two seasons and a movie. Most of the voice acting cast from SAC along with the show’s director Kenji Kamiyama are making a return as well.
This time, the Section 9 crew are hired as a mercenary unit to face a new type of enemy called a “Post-Human”. Apparently, the big bad can hack into top-ranking military cyborgs in seconds and even seem to possess superhuman physical capabilities.
Personally, I would’ve preferred another traditional 2D animation show but that’s just me. One thing that makes me like this rendition of GitS is Ilya Kushinov’s character design. He really knows how to draw anime women.
Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is scheduled to release in April 2020 exclusively on Netflix.
