Call of Duty Modern Warfare Now Lets You Help Victims of the Bushfires in Australia
By Kakuchopurei|January 12, 2020|0 Comment
Australia is burning right now. Over the past few weeks, uncontrolled bush fires have not only choked the Australian sky, but it has also destroyed over 12.35 million acres of land, killed over a billion – yes, a billion – of Australian wildlife and displaced thousands more.
The relief effort is in dire need of supplies and financial aid. In conjunction with that, the folks at Activision and Infinity Ward have taken up arms in opening an avenue for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players to do their part in contributing to the cause via its in-game store.
A special bundle called the Outback Relief can be purchased right now by players on all platforms, with all profits from the sale to be donated to relief efforts in Australia.
The Outback Relief pack, which costs 1800CP, nets you a special operator skin, the ‘Bushranger’ for D-Day, an Epic variant of the AX-50 sniper rifle, a koala charm, a sticker, a calling card, D-Day operator quip, a D-Day unique finisher and one tier skip for the battle pass.
It is definitely one of the costlier bundle packs out there but hey – if it’s for a good cause, to help injured koala bears, wallabies, kangaroos and other marsupials, we are game.
The items from the bundle are purely cosmetic and we commend Activision for this socially conscious move. There are more things to life than video games. Hopefully, bundles like these can help raise awareness amongst gamers to worldwide happenings around them.
