[Rumour] Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Due To Alleged Console Performance Issues
Chalk one up for PC master race folks, I guess.
A Polish insider (via Altchar) said that the recently-delayed sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 is delayed because of current-gen console performances. Allegedly; this is still a rumour albeit from strong sources.
Turns out that current-gen consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One are reportedly not powerful enough to run the game properly. Insider Borys Niespielak, who is considered the Polish equivalent of Jason Schreier in terms of credibility, said that the original Xbox One is not powerful enough to run the game properly. CD Projekt allegedly said that the game’s performance on it was “extremely unsatisfactory”.
Until more concrete information comes to light, let’s remind ourselves that we’re on the twilight years of current-gen consoles. Would something like this change CD Projekt’s mind to instead release Cyberpunk 2077 on the PS5/Xbox Series X instead? Let us know on the comments below or on Facebook.Â
