Silent Hill Art Director Is Working On A New Game

One of the reasons why Silent Hill 2 became such an iconic game was thanks to its atmosphere. We’ve got the game’s art director Masahiro Ito to thank for that. It looks like the man is hard at work on a new project.

In a recent tweet from his own personal account, Ito revealed that he’s currently a core member of a yet unrevealed title. In a follow up to that tweet, he says he can’t talk about the project just yet.

I’m sure Silent Hill fans are thrilled to hear this but the second half of the tweet really worries me. In the industry, it’s quite common for titles to be cancelled if company board members aren’t impressed and don’t think the game will sell well.

The last game Ito worked on was the not-so-celebrated Metal Gear Survive. A lot of Metal Gear fans called it one of the worst releases in 2018 and sales-wise, it didn’t perform all that well either. Here’s hoping Ito’s next project won’t be as terrible.
