Real Madrid’s Best Player Starts His Own Esports Team

Professional footballer Gareth Bale, who currently plays for the La Liga’s Real Madrid FC and the Welsh national football team, has launched an esports team of his own called Ellevens Esports, in partnership with 38 Entertainment Group.

Ellevens Esports’ focus is currently focusing its efforts on FIFA 20, with the acquisition of three professional players and two content creators, which includes Ethan ‘EthxnH’ Higgins, Pedro ‘Resende’ Henrique, and Tyler Phillips, as well as YouTubers Ryan ‘ItsHaber’ and Tom ‘NerdFire’, respectively.

While FIFA 20 may be the only esport announced for Bale’s new esports organization so far, the official website confirms that he will be recruiting players across a variety of games, with plans for up to an ambitious 11 different esports titles to match the name of the organization, and the number of players in a football team.

According to Esports Insider, Ellevens Esports is set to host an open talent search that will allow players to join the organisation under a professional contract. Bale spoke in a press release:

“On the pitch, my goal is always to win.

With Ellevens Esports, that winning attitude is just as important.

There are similarities between football and esports in that it takes real dedication and sacrifice to reach the top of your game.

I am looking to recruit a team of world-class players for Ellevens across a variety of games.

Unearthing new talent is an exciting part of the process and it’s been really exciting to be involved in selecting our line-up of players so far!”

There are a lot of games that Ellevens Esports could delve into, such as Fortnite, Rocket League, CS: GO, Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Overwatch, Dota 2, Apex Legends, Street Fighter, Tekken 7, PUBG, League Of Legends, and more.
