We’re Getting A Resident Evil TV Show On Netflix

If you’re looking for a Resident Evil fix outside of video games, well, there’s always the Alice movie series which are a league of its own (and we don’t mean the good kind). If you need more, then Netflix may have got you sorted.

Turns out the streaming service may play host to a new Resident Evil TV show; the company posted a description of it and then removed it. Here’s what we saw on the archives:

“The town of Clearfield, MD has long stood in the shadow of three seemingly unrelated behemoths – the Umbrella Corporation, the decommissioned Greenwood Asylum, and Washington, D.C. Today, twenty-six years after the discovery of the T-Virus, secrets held by the three will start to be revealed at the first signs of outbreak.”

Sounds like a gaiden-type scenario, involving a new town and the same old Umbrella Corporation messing up a peaceful town with its bioweapons and tyrants. We do hope this show plays it a little more straight and tense as opposed to the ridiculous antics of the Paul W.S. Anderson-directed films.
