NieR Theatrical Orchestra Cancels Tokyo Performances Due To Coronavirus

Square Enix has announced the cancellation of the NieR Theatrical Orchestra’s upcoming Tokyo performances due to the Covid-19 virus. They were originally meant to be held on March 28 and March 29.

Attached to the announcement was a notice containing ticket refund links. The tweet itself mentions the spread of the novel coronavirus and consideration for the audience’s health and safety as factors for the cancellation. More details can be found on the site, although they’re in Japanese.

Singer Emi Evans also apologized to NieR fans who were anticipating the concert.

While understandably disappointing for fans, the cancellation makes sense given the Covid-19 situation in Japan. Recently, it was announced that Tokyo Disneyland and schools would close temporarily.
