Dragon Quest Goes Mobile In This Next Spin-Off
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|February 25, 2020|0 Comment
Want to experience the magic of Dragon Quest but too cheap to pay any amount for Dragon Quest XI, arguably the series’ best (if that even means much, in my opinion)? Then Square Enix has you covered.
The English global version of mobile turn-based RPG Dragon Quest of the Stars is available now for iOS and Android via Google Play. If you’re into nostalgia-inducing turn-based RPG experiences featuring simple Skill Gauge Battle systems and 4-player multiplayer, as well as character customization so your fantasy hero looks like a bastard child of Dr. Slump and slightly taller teen Goku, then go ahead.
In a sea filled with mobile RPGs, you need to stand out among the crowd. And when you’re a game with a legacy brand that capitalizes way too much on nostalgia while coming off as repetitive, trite, and just old-fashioned, you’ll do just fine. Again, my opinion; you do you if you fancy Dragon Quest and its many sequels.
Here’s the trailer.
