Broomstick League Is The Quidditch Game Harry Potter Fans Have Always Wanted
By Alleef Ashaari|March 6, 2020|0 Comment
Psyonix’s Rocket League is football meets cars. What happens when you combine Rocket League-like gameplay with Quidditch, the fictional sport from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter franchise?
You get something like Broomstick League.
Developed by Virtual Basement, Code Headquarters, and Blue Isle Studios, Broomstick League is a fast-paced, high-flying online sports game where players divide into teams and streak across massive arenas atop their trusty broomsticks.
The objective is to take possession of the ball and rush it through the stadium while outmanoeuvring other players in order to score. Equipped with a broomstick and wand, players must hone their flying skills and use magic.
These include blast spells that can knock the ball from opponents and blink spells that can instantly teleport players to another position in the arena. In addition, players can also customize their witch/wizard to equip a variety of unlockable broomsticks, wands and other magical cosmetics.
Broomstick League is out now on PC via Steam in Early Access for only RM32, but the developers have confirmed that the game will also be releasing on the PS4 and Xbox One for its eventual full release.
According to the game’s Steam page, it is expected to be in Early Access for nine to twelve months, which means that it will be a while before it arrives on consoles. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
