Modest US$50k Wonderful 101 Port Kickstarter Finishes At US$2.2 Million

The crowd has spoken: The Wonderful 101: Remastered Kickstarter is truly a-go-go, baby!

The campaign has reached a grand total of US$2.2 million, way ahead of its original US$50,000 pledge. The fact that it reached US$1.5 million stretch goal within hours after it was announced proved that there is a demand for PlatinumGames ports of their more esoteric and challenging titles. The team issued the following thank-you note as follows:

“We at Platinum Games want to express our heartfelt appreciation for all the warm wishes and support for our Kickstarter for The Wonderful 101: Remastered! We couldn’t have done it without all of you!”

The remaster will be out for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 later this year on 19th May. On a related note, PlatinumGames director Hideki Kamiya also announced his latest project: Project G.G., which is basically his homage to Ultraman.
