Not For Resale Trailer Talks About The Decline Of Physical Video Game Media

The era of digital distribution has made it incredibly easy to buy a video game. However, what gets sacrificed as a result of that convenience?

That topic is what Not For Resale seeks to explore. The newly released trailer, advertising the documentary’s blue-ray and streaming release, touches on the benefits of digital distribution, and also the magic inherent to physical media.

“It’s not an artifact that can be passed from one hand to the other,” says one interviewee about digital media, while another notes, “Yes you have those things but now no one else can.”

Over 12 of the interviewees are game store owners in the US and Canada. There are also names like Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller, Rocket League creator Dave Hagewood, and the Library of Congress’ David Gibson.

Although Not For Resale focuses on game stores in the US and Canada, it still looks like something that’s well worth watching for every gamer.
