Control Is Getting Its First Expansion This March

One of the best games of 2019, the action-adventure shooter Control, is getting new content.

The title’s first expansion, dubbed The Foundation, will be out 26th March. The teaser below doesn’t say much, but we’re guessing the “Marshall” here is Helen Marshall, the head of operations at the Federal Bureau of Control. She made a few appearances in the base game, but disappeared off somewhere. Guess we’ll find out what’s up.

Developer Remedy has not said much, except that they will release another expansion later in 2020 after this one. I’m glad the company is relishing on the fruits of its labour; Control really deserves its spot as one of our Best of 2019 picks. It’s a remarkable blend of the ordinary and bizarre, and the telepathic-savvy combat and gunplay are fun. But mostly, I’m drawn in by the weird stuff in the Bureau.
