Ubisoft Reminds Us Of A Time When They Made Good Prince of Persia Games
In lieu of using past franchises for their multiplayer team-based fightfest For Honor, Ubisoft will be using an IP long-forgotten by time: the Prince of Persia series.
From now until 2nd April, For Honor players can now team up in a special Prince of Persia crossover event, Blades of Persia, and earn in-game rewards with the Free Event Pass. Basically, you have to fight the Prince and his sand monsters in For Honor fashion.
I have no words for this. The history between Ubisoft, Prince of Persia, and its in-house replacement Assassin’s Creed is a huge one to tackle indeed. But since they own the IP, they can do whatever the heck they want; even parade its husk into other games in hopes of scratching that nostalgic itch.
