“GTC News Can Wait,” Says Nvidia’s CEO In Light Of Covid-19 Pandemic

While we all need some escapism and good news in the time of Covid-19, there are also times where they need to take a backseat. As such, Nvidia is putting off on delivering GTC news for the time being.
“This isn’t the right time. We’re going to hold off on sharing our GTC news for now,” wrote Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in a blog post. “That way, our employees, partners, the media and analysts who follow us, and our customers around the world can focus on staying safe and reducing the spread of the virus.”
However, he added that there will still be streams of “great content from researchers and developers who have prepared great talks”. “This is a time to focus on our family, our friends, our community. Our employees are working from home. Many hourly workers will not need to work but they’ll all be fully paid,” Huang wrote.
Well, safety always comes first, and at least we’re still getting some content. It’s good to see Nvidia taking care of their employees too. Huang ended his post by writing, “Stay safe everyone. We will get through this together.”
