While the Covid-19 pandemic is dominating our news, there are still some who are unaware of it. The guests on Big Brother, for instance, are largely shut-off from updates about the outside world.
And until recently, Jared Leto had no idea about the current coronavirus situation either, thanks to his long meditation session.
In an Instagram post, the actor and songwriter explained that he had been in “silent meditation in the desert” for 12 days.
“We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication, etc. We had no idea what was happening outside the facility,” he wrote.
“Walked out yesterday into a very different world. One that’s been changed forever. Mind-blowing – to say the least.”
Leto’s latest film, Morbius, is due for a 31 July 2020 release. A Twitter user noted that the Spanish release date had been pushed to 7 August 2020, but the worldwide release for the anti-hero movie seems to be the same for now. I won’t be surprised if that changes in the near future.
Despite having just learned about the pandemic, Leto has already issued some good advice that we should all heed, if possible. “Stay inside. Stay safe,” he wrote.
