Here’s A Quick Glimpse At Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba For PS4

That super popular Demon Slayer series has released the first trailer for its upcoming PS4 game. Titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan, it is slated for a 2021 release.

There’s no gameplay in the trailer, but you get to see protagonist Tanjiro Kamado using one of his Water Breathing moves on the Hand Demon from the Final Selection exams. No Shinobu or Nezuko, sadly.

The game is made by CyberConnect2, the guys behind Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the Naruto Ultimate Ninja series, and the .hack games. This team also had a hand in building the early foundations of Final Fantasy VII Remake before Square Enix’s in-house team took over for the remaining years of the project.

We have no idea yet if Demon Slayer will take any cues from those games, but I won’t be surprised if it turns out to be similar to the Ultimate Ninja titles.

Thanks, Gematsu.
