Valorant Closed Beta Dates Draw Near; Here’s How To Get In Line

Shooter fans and Riot Games aficionados, the promised day is close at hand. Valorant’s closed beta sessions will be taking place soon….

…in North America and Europe. The date? 7th April. So if you have a US or EU account, then by all means rejoice!

How To Access

Follow these steps if you have NA and EU Riot Games accounts:

  1. Register for a Riot account.
  2. Link your Riot account to a Twitch account (you can get one here).
  3. When closed beta activates in your region (EU and NA for now), watch specific VALORANT closed beta streams highlighted on Twitch.

Keep in mind that server space will be limited. Also, your progress will not carry over because the game is in closed beta; changes will happen in the final product. The closed beta will last for a short bit, since the game’s launch date is Summer 2020.

As for microtransactions, you can still buy items via VALORANT points, but you’ll get them back at full launch along with a 20% return bonus for participating like a champ.

What About Southeast Asia?

Patience; that’s what Riot Games said officially so far. The company said that more regions will feature the closed beta as it deploys server infrastructure, especially during a global pandemic. We already have some PvP games to play that are new right now, like Bleeding Edge, so we can wait a while for Valorant’s SEA debut.
