Control Foundation DLC Trailer Teases More Bizzare Content
By Alleef Ashaari|March 16, 2020|0 Comment
Previously, Remedy Entertainment announced that Control is getting its Foundation DLC on 26 March 2020. Now the developer has unveiled a new trailer and more details about the upcoming expansion for one of my personal 2019 games of the year.
According to 505 Games Senior Brand Community Manager Antonela Pounder on PlayStation Blog, the Control Foundation DLC will focus on The Foundation, where the Astral Plane is colliding with reality.
Control protagonist and Federal Bureau of Control (FDC) director Jesse Faden must travel through the caverns of The Foundation to prevent the Astral Plane from consuming the Oldest House (FDC HQ).
If you remember, FDC Head of Operations Helen Marshall went missing during the main story and she may hold the answers to the mysteries surrounding this threat. In the Foundation DLC, players will learn more about her disappearance, and about the mysterious ethereal Board.
Keep in mind that players are required to have beaten the main story to access the Foundation DLC (via the Hotline Chamber in Central Executive). There will be both new main and side missions, which will amount to around four or five hours of gameplay.
Jesse will also be receiving a new supernatural ability called Shape, an upgrade to the Service Weapon called Fracture (which allows her to transform and shatter the Foundation’s environments), and Shield Rush, an upgrade to the Shield ability that allows Jesse to charge at her enemies, knocking them back during combat.
A new enemy type will also be awaiting players, in the form of the Hiss Sharpened. This new Hiss-type will attack players with their melee pickaxe swings and in brutal numbers.
Last but not least, a free update will arrive alongside the Foundation DLC, improving map functionality, adding the option to reallocate Ability points using Essence at Control points, and other quality of life improvements.
In the meantime, check out the Control Foundation DLC trailer below.
