Get Your Stylistic Action RPGing On With Curse Of The Dead Gods
Need another action RPG fix after Wolcen? Then why not check out this Steam Early Access game called Curse of the Dead Gods?
The one thing that stands out from this isometric action RPG is its striking visuals. Look at it; it features both colour and a ton of pitch-black shadows in the right places. While the game itself doesn’t look that innovative, I do appreciate how it moves and how those attacks land with a lot of “oomph”.
Curse of the Dead Gods is filled with randomized dungeons you have to crawl to for loot and glory. As you traverse deeper, you’ll get more abilities and powerups in return of some sacrifice on your part, like perhaps your health or your stats. Yeah, we’re dealing with curses here that debilitate you the longer you’re alive.
This early version of the game features the “Jaguar section”, which is the first of three sections of the dungeon planned for Early Access. Here’s what developers Passtech Games have to say.
“Throughout Early Access we plan to do large monthly updates, alongside smaller patches roughly weekly. Some of these may be unstable, and will use a special branch so that the core game is never in a messy state. Major changes can and will happen based on your feedback, and we’re excited to get started.”
Curse of the Dead Gods is available for US$15 right now. Get more info here on the game’s official website, or check out the game’s screenshots and lush visuals below.
