PUBG Wants YOU To Test Its Ranked Ruleset
By Melvyn Tan|March 9, 2020|0 Comment
PUBG‘s developers would like players to test its Ranked Ruleset via the PUBG Labs feature.
“A ruleset like this needs feedback though, so like our previous skill-based rating test, we’re looking to PUBG LABS to gather your feedback as quickly and efficiently as possible,” they wrote.
What IS Ranked though? Well, the dev team aims for it to be an experience that merges “the strengths of both public and esports ruleset settings to build a new ruleset specifically made for competitive play”. The number of players in a Ranked match will be reduced to 64.
Among the other tweaks it makes are increased item spawn rates, such as for primary weapons, Level 2 equipment, 4x scopes, and First Aid Kits. The “tempo” of the Blue Zones will “grow faster”, and the plane is “more likely to fly closer to the first safe area”. The Motor Glider is also currently unavailable in Ranked, as the team isn’t yet sure if it’s suitable for a competitive experience.
Players can try out the Ranked Ruleset in both first-person and third-person modes. Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok are available, but will be picked randomly.
