Double Eleven Appoints Malaysian Office Studio Head

Games developer and publisher Double Eleven has announced that announce that they have appointed games development veteran Ian Ng as Studio Head of its new Malaysian studio.

The appointment coincides with the official opening of the company’s studio in Kuala Lumpur. Ng’s career span over 20 years in games development, including stints as Associate Producer at Ubisoft Singapore on games like 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Technical Artist at Lucasfilm, amongst others. He has worked on over 20 titles from mobile games to AAA console games.

Double Eleven CEO Lee Hutchinson said:

“With a brilliant track record in art, production and management, combined with the experience of working on one of gaming’s biggest franchises, we knew quickly that Ian had the skills and drive to lead Double Eleven Kuala Lumpur.

We welcome Ian into our tribe and look forward to working with the team he builds in Malaysia, which will become an integral part of the Double Eleven family.

“I look forward to building a studio that embodies the same culture and values as the Double Eleven studio in the United Kingdom.

After a number of years working in Bangkok and Singapore, I’m excited to make a positive impact on the fast-growing games industry in my home country of Malaysia.”

Headquartered in Middlesbrough in the North-East of England, Double Eleven is best known for having co-developed or ported games like Rust, Crackdown 3, Goat Simulator, and the upcoming Minecraft Dungeons.

Double Eleven’s new studio in Malaysia is located in upmarket Bangsar South, giving the developer access to a new pool of high-calibre talent, development across multiple time zones, as well as gaining access to new Asian markets and partnerships.
