Assassin’s Creed 2 Is Free To Keep Right Now (Update)
By Melvyn Tan|April 13, 2020|0 Comment
Update:Â Assassin’s Creed 2 is now free to grab and keep on Uplay. The offer will last until 18 April at 5am.
Original: It seems that the game that introduced the world to Ezio Auditore will be free this week.
Daniel Ahmed, who spotted the information on German site MyDealz, shared on Twitter that Assassin’s Creed 2 will be free on Uplay on 14 April. Given time zones and all, it’d probably happen on 15 April for us here, but I’ll keep an early eye on Uplay all the same.

No word yet on how long the free deal will last, but the Google translation of MyDealz’s page implies that it’d last for more than one day, at least. It also seems that the rest of the Ezio trilogy, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will be discounted during that time.
I’d decided that the Assassin’s Creed series just wasn’t for me after failing to get into AC3 and Black Flag, but I’d always been tempted to try AC2 because of its setting. It looks like I don’t have an excuse anymore if this free offer comes to pass.
The offer will also make Assassin’s Creed 2 the latest Assassin’s Creed game to have been given away for free. Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed: Unity were previously made free for various reasons on Uplay, while Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate was one of the Epic Game Store’s weekly free game offers recently.
