Konami Delays eFootball PES 2020 Euro 2020 DLC

Almost every major international sporting event in 2020 have been cancelled, including the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and UEFA Euro 2020. The latter was initially slated to release as a DLC expansion pack for eFootball PES 2020 on 30 April 2020, but it has now been officially postponed until further notice.

On its official PES Twitter account, Konami has announced that they have delayed the UEFA Euro 2020 DLC for eFootball PES 2020. The reason is because the real-life equivalent of the tournament has been postponed indefinitely, not to mention that Japan is currently in a state of emergency.

Konami has also cancelled the planned special physical version of eFootball PES 2020 with a UEFA Euro 2020 cover. However, the UEFA Euro 2020 DLC update will still be made available for free to anyone who already owns eFootball PES 2020, as part of an upcoming Data Pack.

Besides that, Konami confirmed that the UEFA eEuro 2020 sports tournament will proceed as planned but fully online instead, with the finals slated to take place from 23 to 24 May 2020.
