Tiger King’s Jeff Lowe Hosts Reddit AMA; Went As Well As You Expect
Netflix’s Tiger King is an intriguing look in the world of big cat zoos, featuring a lucid tale of attempted murder, tiger cults, animal euthanasia, crazy rich assholes, and hypocrites of serious magnitude. These include Carole Baskin, Joe Exotic (now in jail), and Doc Antle.
One of its subjects is Jeff Lowe, the then-CEO of Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park before he bought it off from ex-owner Joe Exotic and completely screwed him over. He recently posted an Ask Me Anything thread on Reddit. And just like notorious folks who don’t know any better like Wyclef Jean and Scott Stapp, the thread backlash is pretty spicy.
Here are some of the more outlandish replies & questions, complete with honest answers from Lowe himself who genuinely thought this was a good idea, considering how he was portrayed in the documentary series.
Strong language ahead, FYI.
You also have to give him props for having the gall to put himself above the other hypocrites in the documentary while also badmouthing Joe Exotic, who is still in prison.
This question brought it home. You can check out the rest of the responses here.Â
