Venom Sequel Swings To Summer 2021

The Venom sequel everyone’s been waiting for (sort of) is delayed from 2nd October to 25th June, 2021. Also, it’s getting a new title: Venom – Let There Be Carnage.

The film will be directed by Andy Serkis and will star Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, and Woody Harrelson. They will be playing Eddie Brock, Anne Weying, and Cletus Kasady respectively. Naomie Harris will play the villain Shriek.

One would think that with the first Venom’s low average that the film would bomb. On the contrary, it grossed over US$800 million worldwide, with most of it coming from China thanks to its “clever” marketing of the symbiote.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the latest film Sony Pictures will be postponing. The other films that got the pushback due to COVID-19 include Uncharted, Morbius, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
