Humble Bundle Has Raised US$6.5 Million For COVID-19 Coronavirus Relief
If you want a great PC gaming deal while also helping out with curing COVID-19, the Humble Conquer COVID-19 bundle is the way to go. And a lot of people seem to think so too.
Humble Bundle announced that its coronavirus aid bundle was a “huge success”, raking in over US$6.5 million for charity and selling over 200,000 bundles.
All of the money will be going to charities like Doctors Without Borders, Direct Relief, Partners in Health, and International Rescue Committee, where it will be used to delivering protective gear to health workers, providing resources to at-risk populations, and medical care for infected patients. Here’s a statement from Humble Bundle itself:
“We will receive close to $1.5M in donations, which will enable our teams to launch emergency programs to help stem the spread of COVID-19 in the hardest-hit communities, care for infected patients, and respond to the pandemic’s consequences on local health systems.”
See? Gaming is not only fun but also beneficial in helping worthy causes. For more examples like these, check out what speedrunners are doing to amass relief funds for COVID-19 here.Â
