Check Out This 8-Inch Handheld Gaming Laptop
By Melvyn Tan|April 23, 2020|0 Comment
GPD have made an 8-inch handheld gaming laptop called the GPD Win Max, something which makes my mind go blank and my eyes blink in confusion. But it’s real indeed, and it can apparently run games ranging from Rainbow Six: Siege and Apex Legends to Metro: Exodus and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Of course, it’s not running those games at 1080p 60 FPS, but it’s still impressive the way seeing Doom or The Witcher 3 run on the Switch is. According to GPD’s benchmarks, Metro: Exodus ran at an average of 47 FPS while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare ran at an average of 51 FPS. Its tests were done using the following specs:
It’s also got an in-built gamepad to fulfill the handheld part. It feels both weird and cool, seeing a gamepad as part of a laptop. I’m not sure how comfortable it’d feel in practice, however.
If you’re intrigued by the GPD Win Max, you can check it out in detail over here.
