Final Fantasy VII PC Gets A “Remako” Mod That Shines
Until PC gamers get their hands on their master race version of Final Fantasy VII Remake, they’ll have to settle for this sweet mod for the original PC port instead.
The Final Fantasy VII Remako mod uses AI-upscaling to convert the blurry pre-rendered backdrops into sharp high-res images. The mod also improves battlefield texture quality, overworld textures, and cutscene resolution.
The mod will have more features coming soon, which also includes compatibility to the Reunion mod. This particular mod lets you use a new translation based on the original Japanese script instead of the original. It also features higher-quality audio, a difficulty rebalance, 60fps battles, and improved character models. Ergo, it’s cool to have two mods working in sync to make an already-epic 90s JRPG experience all the fresher.
Since it’ll be a while until the PC version of FFVII Remake comes out, you might as well give these mods a shot. We’ll let these high-res upscaled cutscenes do the talking.
