Check it out below:
EA and FIFA have announced the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Stay And Play Cup, where professional football athletes will go head-to-head with each other, bringing together 20 of the most famous and historic clubs in Europe as they play FIFA 20 in an esports tournament from 15 to 19 April 2020.
The esports tournament will feature professional footballers nominated by each club. However, specific players have not yet been revealed.
Check out the full list below:
They will be playing a single-elimination knockout tournament. Each match will be a one-leg 1v1 match with 85-rated squads, with only the winner advancing to the next round. EA will donate US$1 million to Global Giving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund to support ongoing COVID-19 relief efforts as part of its Stay Home, Play Together initiative.
FIFA Chief Commercial Officer Simon Thomas said:
“During this unprecedented time, more than ever, we are seeing people come together to find new ways to engage in football.
It’s encouraging to see the ways we can bring real-world experiences to life with our partners at EA.
We are not only committed to supporting coronavirus relief efforts, but also bringing even more ways for football fans to engage with the sport they love in the coming weeks.â€
Fans can catch the action on the EA SPORTS FIFA Twitch channel or their YouTube channel. If you’re a Malaysian, you can also check all the action on Astro SuperSport HD Channel 811 (SD Channel 831) and on eGG Network Channel 800.
