Resident Evil Southeast Asia Survey Asks If You’d Like Another Remake Or A Sequel
By Melvyn Tan|April 7, 2020|0 Comment
Capcom has released a Resident Evil survey seemingly targeted at some Southeast Asian gamers. I say seemingly because while it names Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand as countries of residence options, there’s also the “others” choice.
Aside from the usual questions about age, what platform you own, and where you get information about Resident Evil, there are a couple of questions that seek to find out what sort of Resident Evil game fans would want next. The first asks if you’d buy another remake, while the second asks if you’d buy a new sequel.
The survey also tries to gauge reaction to the Resident Evil 3 remake by asking if you’ve purchased the game, and if not, why. Similarly, it also asks if you’ve played the demo and whether it inspired you to buy the game. For your troubles, you get three Resident Evil 3 wallpapers for PC and mobile.
Now that they’ve released remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 in two consecutive years, I suppose Capcom is wondering if they should take a break and return to sequels, or continue if what they’re doing. According to rumours, however, the next Resident Evil game is due in 2021 and will be Resident Evil 8, albeit not the original Resident Evil 8 that was in development.
