Legends Of Runeterra Guide: Best Decks To Start With

The Best Legends Of Runeterra Decks You Should Build

Runeterra Client_SS_08_en_US.MOV.Still001

While these decks are great in their own ways, players will still need the required cards and practising strategy to get the most out of them. These decks are provided by prominent Legends of Runterra players and the current meta/trends.

In order to import any of the decks listed below, you can adhere to the following steps:

  • Copy the deck code of the deck you want.
  • Launch Legends Of Runeterra.
  • Select Collection from the main menu.
  • Select Decks.
  • Select Import Deck.
  • Paste the code, and save.
  • Your deck is now ready to use (if you have the cards, that is).

S-Tier

Corina Control

Runeterra Guide 1

Deck code: CEBAGAIED4TTIBYBAUOSCKBLGI2TQAQCAECDAMIDAECQCDZWAA

Corina Control is a deck that plays extremely slowly but relies on the inevitability of damage from Ledros and Corina after the ninth turn. Pick up this deck if you like to slowly grind your opponents into the ground.

Ezreal Karma

Runeterra Guide 2

Deck code: CEBAKAICAITCSOBZAYAQIGY7EQVTIOQCAEAQIJYCAEBCKMIBAEAQENY

Ezreal Combo is a fun deck and a nice way to add some variety. However, it plays a lot slower than the other variants so only pick this up if you have the patience for long games. The longer the game goes, the easier it is for you to win.

Spider Aggro

Runeterra Guide 3

Deck code: CEBAIAIFEQTTKOAHAEBQOCIMB4KCONYCAEAQKMQCAEBQ2GIBAEAQKFQ

You can choose this deck if you want to flood the board and overwhelm your opponent with followers that they can’t keep up with. Your early game consists of one goal, which is to flood the board with as many followers as you can.

Midrange Bannerman

Runeterra Guide 4

Deck code: CEAQYAIAAEEQUCYMDIOSAJJLFUZQAAQBAEBDCAYBAADDENA

Midrange Bannerman is a simple deck that is great for climbing but is not for those who like long and complex games. If you can pressure your opponent earlier on, you can easily close out with a Bannerman to win the match.

Heimer Control

Runeterra Guide 5

Deck code: CEBAKAICAIGCKJRZAYAQIEA3E4VTIOABAMAQEBBJGEAQCAICFY

If you want to make your opponent’s life miserable by preventing them from playing the game, this is the deck for you. In general, it’s a fun deck to play where you can be creative with your strategies.

Elusive Burn

Runeterra Guide 6

Deck code: CEBAIAIACEJBKLIIAEBAMCIMCESSMMJZAEBACAANGIAA

Elusive Burn is a simple deck that can hit very hard. It’s risky so, you will win if you’re aggressive, but probably lose just as decisively. Pick this up if you want to grind games quickly.

A-Tier

Kinkou Elusives

Runeterra Guide 7

Deck code: CEBAEAIBAQLAWAICAIDASDARCULSQLBSHEAACAIBAIYQ

Kinkou Elusives is an aggressive deck that buffs elusive units. This is a quick deck that will win if played correctly but will still have a good chance when against tougher decks. The most important objective is to protect your units with spells until you can push for a win.

Spooky Karma

Runeterra Guide 8

Deck code: CEBAIAICFEYTKOIIAECQ6FA5FAXDINRYAIAQCARGAEAQKAIA

Spooky Karma is a difficult control deck. Despite being able to contend with the other top decks, games will be slower, and the decisions will be more challenging. Give it a try if you love control decks or simply want a different take on the Shadow Isles.

Warmother Control

Runeterra Guide 9

Deck code: CEBAKAIBBQKBQJZJA4AQKAIEB4OSQNRXAEAQCAIXAEBACBIZEE

Warmother Control is the only ramp deck available right now, so this is the perfect deck to play if you love long games and big destructive units. This deck combines cards from the Shadow Isles and Freljord to make for a slow and grindy control deck.

FRSI Midrange

Runeterra Guide 10

Deck code: CEBAIAIBAMFRMJYIAECQCFBIGE2DMNZYAEAQCAJJAIAQCBIZAEAQCFY

You might want to build this deck if you want a good matchup against the widest pool of decks.  The healing, removal, and defensive capabilities of these cards not only means that they are versatile, but will also punish players who openly attack haphazardly.

Burn Aggro

Runeterra Guide 11

Deck code: CEBAKAIDAIGA6GJIAUAQIEJHFA2DMAIDAEBR4JJLAECACAYHCMNS6

Burn Aggro is exactly what the name implies: you play units and burn them down with spells. However, this deck can either win decisively or lose quickly, so pick it up if you want fast and aggressive games. It’s important to put the pressure earlier on this deck because you have no other viable strategy.

Kalista Rekindler

Runeterra Guide 12

Deck code: CEBAEAICAM4QMAIFAQMR4IBRGUBAEAICAIYQMAIFCQLCCKBQGIAA

This is a deck that is positioned in a way that can deal with a wide variety of matchups but at the cost of being more difficult to plan for. However, it brings a lot of value once the momentum builds later during games.

B-Tier

Yasuo Control

Runeterra Guide 13

Deck code: CEBAKAIDAQFCILRXAYAQEAQIBQHTQOICAEAQGEYCAEBCCMIBAEAQGNQ

There aren’t many control decks that are cheap like this. The Yasuo Control deck is a fun, viable, and budget-friendly control deck that utilizes cards that usually aren’t considered good.

BBG’s Lux Thresh Control

Runeterra Guide 14

Deck code: CEBAGAIAEEVDMCABAUARIIBIFY2DMOACAEAQKHICAEABOGQBAEAQAMQ

This is a really fun deck that takes a while to get going before it reaches critical mass. You can pick up this deck if you love slower decks with an explosive midgame and good board control. However, this deck has no units to play on the first few turns so your gameplan will always be defensive in style.

Midrange Frostbite

Runeterra Guide 15

Deck code: CEBAGAIDCEPSCCIBAECAOCYSCYPCMKJKAEAQCAJHAEBACAYEFI

Midrange Frostbite is an interesting and adaptable deck that is capable of playing multiple ways. as it takes advantage of frostbite cards. Thus, spamming frostbite is the strategy here.

Endure Spiders

Runeterra Guide 16

Deck code: CEBAGAIBAMLCEBYBAUSCQKZRGI2TQAQBAEAQWAYBAUHR2NACAEAQKGIBAEASO

This deck is great for players who like to have both answers and flexibility, especially with its variety of card draw, removal, and a strong suite of followers. However, this deck needs time to develop, so your primary objective is to fight for the board and hold on until you can summon a more powerful They Who Endure.
