Relive your GameCube days.
After several delays, Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is finally releasing on 27 August 2020 for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. It is a new and improved version of the original Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, which initially launched on the Nintendo GameCube back in 2003.
The action RPG is set in a land threatened by a deeply poisonous gas called Miasma. Players assume the role of a young hero who joins with a Moogle companion or with up to three other friends to travel the world in search of the rare and valuable liquid myrrh. With this precious resource, they’ll be able to cleanse and maintain a crystal that protects the land and its people.
The Remastered Edition of the game will come with enhanced features, brand new content, upgraded HD visuals, improved audio, new voiceovers, and even online multiplayer for the first time. What’s interesting is that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition also features cross-play for all platforms.
In addition, there’s also an entirely new ‘Mimic’ feature, where players can let their character take on the form of different people they meet on their journey. This can be done by earning special crystals from collecting stamps, visiting Moogle Houses or completing difficult dungeons.
