The Lords Of The Rings Gollum Game Unveils Next-Gen Screenshots
By Alleef Ashaari|May 4, 2020|0 Comment
Earlier this year, Daedalic Entertainment confirmed that its upcoming The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum will be releasing as a next-gen game on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Now the developer has unveiled the very first screenshots from the game, giving us our first look at the stealth adventure game.
From the looks of the screenshots (via German publication GameStar), players will be exploring the surroundings of Mordor itself. It seems that one can simply walk into Mordor after all (cough Boromir cough).
One particular screenshot is interesting in that we see Gollum being chased by several large spiders. Perhaps they’re the offspring of one famous Shelob, or maybe we might even encounter the queen arachnid that will later terrorize Frodo in the game.
The game’s visuals do look a bit cartoonish in nature, but perhaps that’s what the developer is going for instead of striving for realism. It’s worth pointing out that the game is slated to release sometime in 2021, so it’s still smack dab in the middle of development right now.
According to the developer, The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum will feature stealth gameplay, a dual-personality mechanic, huge levels, and less focus on violence, as well as an appearance by the Nazgul.
