Tales Of Arise Has Been Delayed Indefinitely

Bandai Namco initially announced the latest entry in the long-running JRPG Tales Of franchise, Tales Of Arise, during E3 2019. There’s been little news about the game since then (besides a new trailer every now and again), and now the developer has confirmed that the game has been delayed indefinitely.

Tales Of Arise was initially supposed to release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2020, but it looks like that won’t be happening anymore. Bandai Namco attributes the delay to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected and slowed development as they had to adapt to new working situations.

The developer is looking to “provide a familiar but innovative gameplay experience to fans of the series while pushing the technical envelope to deliver a high level of graphical quality”, so it’s no wonder that the game is being delayed from its original launch window.

Bandai Namco has promised to reveal a new release window for Tales Of Arise in the future. Until then, check out the newly-released image and the most recent trailer below.
