PUBG Sales Reach A Whopping 70 Million Units
By Alleef Ashaari|July 15, 2020|0 Comment
Just over three years after it launched, PUBG has sold a whopping 70 million copies. What’s even more incredible is that the 70 million units don’t take the extremely popular PUBG Mobile version into account; only the PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions combined, according to GamesIndustry.biz.
PUBG achieved this sales milestone despite the fact that sales have actually significantly slowed since its Early Access debut in early 2017, considering that PUBG Corporation initially reported over 50 million sales in June 2018.
However, 20 million units over just two years is still an impressive feat, especially in this age dominated by other games like Apex Legends and Fortnite. In comparison, PUBG Mobile is doing even better, having amassed 400 million downloads and 50 million daily active users as of June 2019.
Recently, PUBG Corporation also announced that PUBG Season 8 will launch on 22 July 2020. It will feature a remastered Sanhok map and loot-filled trucks.
