Vanillaware’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Will Be Out In English This September

Atlus has announced the English release date for Vanillaware’s sci-fi action-slash-strategy art-savvy title 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. The game will be out 22nd September for PS4.

The game will have English voiceovers via a Day 1 patch. If you are able to pre-order the physical version of the game, you can score an exclusive artbook. Vanillaware’s trademark has always been its lush 2D artwork and animation, so it’s probably worth hunting down for (via Amazon).

13 Sentinels was released in Japan last year on 28th November; it was up for nomination for the Seiun Sci-fi award as the only nominated video game in this category. The game is a hybrid between an action side-scroller and a real-time strategy title, but with 13 different story perspectives between 13 characters.

It’s basically a far cry from Vanillaware’s previous titles Odin’s Sphere, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and the titular Dragon’s Crown.
